Red Crow Digital was founded in 2016 by Simon Johnson, a software engineer with a belief that clients deserve direct access to the people actually building their software.
The agency grew out of frustration with how most software development is sold: account managers, offshore teams, and a layer of process that puts distance between a client and the work. Red Crow Digital was built to be the opposite. Small teams of senior engineers, working directly with clients, on problems that matter to real businesses.
Starting in Sydney and later establishing a presence in the Hunter Valley, Red Crow Digital has spent nearly a decade building production systems across healthcare, arts and culture, legal, hospitality, and beyond. The work ranges from purpose-built operational platforms to complex integrations, mobile applications, and long-term systems that clients rely on every day.
The studio has stayed deliberately small. That is not a limitation; it is the point. Every engagement is led by an experienced engineer, every client has a direct line to the people doing the work, and nothing gets handed off to someone who was not in the room when the brief was written.
